Mercers Furniture Corona Large Sideboard – Pine : Love my sideboard

Nice product hope you are amazing at flatpack furniture before you buy. . Great product once put together but would never buy again from here. My partner is very good at assembly for flat packs but this was a joke. Holes misaligned and instructions ridiculous. Took 5 hours in total after taking it apart and putting back together as instructions not clear at all and parts not labelled correctly.

The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the instructions for putting it together were not too great and we had to shave some of the. Really nice sideboard hard to assemble. This sideboard is really nice when put together but took me and my boyfriend from 10:30 till 9pm to finish it that is with a few breaks and we have put a lot of things together but this as so far definitely been the hardest. The instructions aren’t that easy to follow and took an hour just to organise the pieces of wood into sections. We were missing a part that held the shelf in place so had to find something else to put there instead and two of the pieces of wood didn’t have the dowel and screw holes in the right place one had no holes and we had to it ourselves which confused us for ages so overall i’d say difficult to put together instructions are not clear parts were missing (nothing major) wood not prepared correctly but once assembled looks really good and really happy with it.

I am quite handy when it comes to these things and it took me about 2-3 hours to assemble – but it looks great. The wood is quite soft so be careful of this when assembling. I accidentally left a screw on the surface i was working and placed the top of the unit on to it and it left a mark. I also found it impossible to get all the pegs of the front frame to line up correctly with the rest of the unit. I ended up having to remove the pegs from the centre part and then managed to get it to fit. Since there are many screws to secure the unit, the pegs i didn’t use didn’t make a difference. Its great value and looks more expensive than it is. Fits perfectly with my room and is not intrusive at all.Would recommend it, but just make sure you set aside some good time to put it together ( maybe a few hours over two days).

Great sturdy item, i use this sideboard for toy storage, trust me its been bursting at the seams and still the drawers have kept intact. It was a pain to build but got there in the end. And it looks really pretty, good thing is u can paint it should you redecorate i love it.

I love this furniture, this is the one of six items i have purchased, getting quite an expert at putting together, just needs a bit of time and patience. When assembled it is very good quality real wood and smells amazing, had lots of comments from friends that it does not look like it was a flatpack and looks far more expensive than it is, would recommend to anyone.

Of pieces of furniture from mercer and they are great. This particular however was a nightmare to assemble. I am only giving 4 stars because i have bought lots of pieces of furniture from mercer and they are great. This particular however was a nightmare to assemble. The frame which goes to the front is made in such way that after redoing it all twice, the drawers still don’t close in properly, as they are rubbing against that frame. Not happy with the purchase. Couldn’t possibly go thru the process of disassembling the 1000 pieces to ship back and wait for replacement while things are spread everywhere.

Love my sideboard, but it was absolutely horrendous to put together. Took 2 of us a day and half to put together correctly. Nothing is labelled, the instructions, well you might as well bin them and just guess. But i love the end result. The top of mine had a split in the wood, got in touch with the company and they sent a new one next day delivery. Got nothing but praise for the company for that.

Together the tv unit the assembling for this was pretty straight forward again. As i had already put together the tv unit the assembling for this was pretty straight forward again. It too compliments the living room for a fraction of the cost of buying from shops.

Having searched for an affordable solid-wood sideboard for awhile, i came to the conclusion that there was no other like corona. If you want solid-wood, and not chip-board, then this is it. Having bought the large sideboard, the one with 5-drawers and 2-doors, it offers generously spaced storage in both areas. It took me a day to figure out what i’d wanted to put in it, given the spare capacity. From delivery to final construction took me, and just me, about a half-day. Believe me, i am no diy expert, and even after initial consternation at the task at hand, went on to satisfied completion. Very pleased with the final results. Just a couple negatives to point out (i would’ve otherwise awarded 5-stars).

Lifetime unit, not easy to destroy :). I love this, big, heavy solid pine, not chipboard, i had an issue building it though, the drawer runners made the gap too narrow to fit the drawers in the middle row, but with some sanding down, can be made to fit the drawers perfect :).

Very nice but a bit rough to put up. Got this to match our other mexican pine, thinking it would be the same. It looks great but we had to plane pieces of wood as they didn’t fit, some pieces were a little rough and splintery and it just wasn’t as solid as our other furniture from a different seller. It’s also a bit yellowy but we can wax it to match our other. There are gaps around the door and draws. But it still is value for money, think we just got very good quality before, so a bit disappointed. If we hadn’t fixed it together ourselves we wouldn’t have noticed as much because once up it looks ok. Worth the money and a great space saver. Oh and the screws and fittings were not labelled, but because we had fitted similar we were able to work it out.

Ordered on fri evening and was delivered by sunday morning. Ordered on fri evening and was delivered by sunday morning. Took me quite sometime to put up but we’ll worth it. Already had lots of complements, people can’t believe the price and have all commented it looks much more expensive. Only downside was as i was completing the final draw one of the sides were completely split. I’ve managed to screw together and use it as a bottom draw. Corona comes in different shades. Check match before purchasing.

When this product arrived, which was quick, i thought it would be hard to put together. But it wasn’t it was easy and the quality of the wood was good. The only downside is the bags with letters relating to the size of screws etc are inside and you have open all the bags. If the labels were suck on the outside it will be easier to identify.

I have bought several pieces of this furniture, really nice when assembled, but, the instructions are terrible, really bad, this particular piece had a few chips in the wood but lookily they are hidden and are not at the front of sideboard. I will buy more of this furniture because it is very sturdy and very pleasing to the eye, i have 3 pieces in my lounge and 1 in the bedroom but now i need a wardrobe which i am dreading putting together, good job i have a husband that doesnt mind a couple of hours of furniture assembly lol also need a couple of sets of draws for the bedroom too, good luck hubby :).

We bought this along with two other items from the range. I’m pretty good with diy and flat pack so found nothing difficult about assemble of all the items. We love the style and they all go great with each other. The drawers just happen to be the perfect size to store our large cd/dvd collectioneach piece is quite chunky and look like they will last for years although we may look at some kind of wax/varnish treatment at sometime, or perhaps just let them age as they are.

All went together easily apart from the odd screw missing. We bought coffee table , corner cabinet and a chest of drawers all in this mexican antique pine, all went together easily apart from the odd screw missing, but this sideboard was so awkward with bits missing and guide holes in wrong place, not very square, but if you like a challenge and are a competent diyer then the finished product is lovely and sets the room off nicely.
